FAQ

  • I have worked as an instructional and learning experience designer for over 18 years in both contract roles and FTE roles.

  • I have worked for companies of every size, from small startups to multinational corporations. These companies encompass a variety of industries, including HR technology, SaaS, pharmaceutical, senior living, financial investment, veterinary, and healthcare, to name a few.

  • I come from a background in writing and editing, so my best skill is cogent, organized, technical, marketing, and motivational writing. I also have a master's degree in organizational leadership, so I have expertise in change management and measuring outcomes. I also excel at project management.

  • I have created curriculum leveraging self-paced learning, which I've developed in Articulate Storyline and Rise, as well as Camtasia, and then uploaded to various learning management systems. I have also developed learning materials for instructor-led training, such as presentations, instructor guides, and learner guides. In addition, I have configured software products to serve as live learning environments for students. I have worked with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and Illustrator. I have also used DITA-based content management platforms to create reusable learning objects for performance-support materials such as guides and job aids.

  • I am currently located in the Portland metro area in western Oregon. I am comfortable working with multiple time zones, though, and often work an EST work day. I have also worked with several global companies and am flexible with meeting during unusual hours.
